To qualify, participants must:

  • Be at least 65 years old
  • Have known or suspected high blood pressure

Qualified participants will receive all study-related care, including physical exam nations, laboratory tests and investigational medications.

What Is A Clinical Trial?
A clinical trial, also referred to as a clinical research study, is a scientific study that evaluates the safety and effectiveness of investigational medical treatments, drugs, or devices in people. Clinical trials are the only way that testing can be done. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires the satisfactory completion of clinical trials before it will approve an investigational treatment as safe and effective for public use.

Tips For A Positive Clinical Trial Experience

  • Read the Informed Consent carefully
  • Ask questions if you do not understand something
  • Understand your responsibilities as a clinical trial participant
  • Follow directions exactly as given by your Study Coordinator or Physician
  • Communicate honestly with your Study Coordinator or Physician
  • Remember that you are a volunteer and can withdraw your participation at any time
  • Arrive on time for appointments
  • Call ahead if you have to reschedule an appointmen
